Albany

The birthplace of the late great Ray Charles, Albany is a small town in south Georgia that looks to be in the process of reinventing “uptown” by the river.  As far as a mountain biking destination, this is a place to skip.

Must Do:   Pretoria Fields Brewery 

A hip modern-rustic brewery with great atmosphere and great beer.  My favorite on this stop was the Shoalie IPA.   

Must Not Do:  Chehaw Park Trail                                                                      

This puts me in mind of an unkept flat, sandy trail similar to ones in north Florida.  Maybe good for a very new beginner rider.  Otherwise, skip it.
