There is so much to do in the Destin area from the famous white sand beaches, fishing, boating (check out crab island) and more shopping than humanly necessary, dedicated biking trails are in short supply. However, a little off the main drag there is an easy-picturesque path that begins at Clement E Taylor Park and traverses bayside to Mattie Kelly Park and Nature Walk. There are options to ride through several adjacent neighborhoods that can extend this ride custom to what you have in the gas tank.
Must Do: The list of possibilities is endless, but I think these are a must:
McGuire's Irish Pub: A world famous right of passage, they brew their own beer and have wood fired steaks and an extensive menu. Click the link, check it out and plan to spend a long minute waiting for a table but alas: they have an outdoor bar and seating which makes the wait an event of it’s own.
Marina Cafe: If you are looking for a more upscale (business casual works) menu and ambiance, check this place out. This is one of my favorites spots, especially during happy hour.
The Ocean Club: In the same lane as the Marina Cafe but located on the eastern end of the Destin area, they bring an awesome fresh catch entree daily. If you’re in the Sandestin area, check this one out.
